Welding Procedures and Qualifications
Ultimately,
our main focus is quality however the best result is high production with
quality. Welding specifications may also reduce high production with
limitations in place to ensure required quality of pipe
welding.
During the procedural process, arc times will be finalised and
production rates can be confirmed. Following mechanical testing
of procedural weld, it can be ensured by us
that every weld produced with the pre-set parameters
using those settings will be the same
during production within an allowable tolerance set by welding
inspectors.
Unlike manual welding, our digital equipment does record every
second of welding data during projects. This data is made
available to client at any interval during project. Welding
inspectors are able to check operators welding parameters of all
welding systems without interfering or causing grief to
welder/operators.
Following procedural welds, the operators become qualified with procedural
settings. Our focus here is again quality with high production. Part of
our qualification process is high production. The operator may pass the
welding qualification but also must provide completion of the weld in an
allowable time and safe manner.
